Do you mean soccer cleats (football cleats)?
Just make sure you tie them tight, and that should solve the bulk of your problems

rubbing in the back is usually caused by them being not tied tight enough, or the wrong size. you could also break them in a bit more and see how it is afterwards

Thicker socks, maybe? ^^;
My combat boots work best when I wear thick, relativily new socks rather than old, worn out and thin socks.

Oh how I laugh at the term "Soccer Cleats". It's so correct, yet so horribly incorrect.
When my boots rub, I stop wearing them and buy some new ones. It sounds a bit extreme but unfortunately it sounds like you've bought the wrong size, so you're going to struggle to stop them from rubbing - it doesn't matter how tight you tie them, it won't make your feet fit into them properly.
As a last resort, I'd head to an Outdoor Adventure shop like Blacks and buy some of those thick walking socks that guarantee No Blisters and wear them under your shinpads. If you STILL get blisters after that, then you're screwed.
And my advice is to buy some Nike Total 90s or some Predators - not the £100+ ones, you can pick up mouldeds for about £50-£60. They're the best boots I've ever worn. My Mercurial Vapors gave me really bad blisters, and even though they look nice, they went in the bin after 3 games. I've heard the Adidas F50s are good boots as well, but never worn em.

In my experience, Nike trainers have come up smaller. My nike size 6's were really small compared to my reebok size 5 and a halfs..

If they are made of leather you can get this solution called leather expander or something. Anyway it stretches leather shoes so they fit the shape of your foot better. I don't know what football boots are made out of probably a mix of synthetics and leather. Try asking a cobbler?
